Nepal and Bhutan

 

The tiny picturesque kingdom of Nepal is the home to the world's deepest gorge "Kali - Gandaki" and also to the highest point on earth the "Everest". Nepal is a living cultural heritage where two great religions of Hinduism and Buddhism meet, giving birth to rich artistic traditions, which has been exemplified in the enchanting temples. To say that Nepal is the kingdom of diversity and contrast is the mildest way one can put it.

Then there is Bhutan, 'Druk-yul', or "the land of the dragon". The terrain of Bhutan is among the most rugged and mountainous in the world, as most of the country includes a part of the Himalayan ranges. It is renowned for its 'Dzongs', the fortified monasteries, the scenic beauty of its valleys, the forests of giant rhododendrons, bamboos and ferns and its placid people in the remote villages situated among exuberant nature. After a long silence towards tourism to preserve its unblemished nature, Bhutan has very recently opened its doors to the tourists of the outside world.

The principal places of interest in Bhutan are Thimphu, Paro, Tongsa, Bhumthang, Punakha, Phuntsoling etc.

Day 05		CHITWAN		Visit of the Royal Chitwan National Park on elephantback. Boatride on river Narayani and visit of village Tharus.
Day 06		CHITWAN / POKHARA		Departure by road. Pokhara offers an exceptional view of the mount Annapurna. Boatride on lake Phewa.
Day 07		POKHARA / KATHMANDU		Departure by road.
Day 08		KATHMANDU / flight / HOMETOWN		Visit of Kathmandu city, the Tibetan camps. Afternoon free for shopping. Transfer to the international airport.
